The message often associated with the fall season is, just like the trees all lose their leaves and are then able to start fresh in the spring, so can you let go of things you need to and be ready to start fresh.
Starting fresh doesn’t always mean starting over. Sometimes it is taking a step back and revamping what is already in place. It can be adding something new to something old. It can be a change or a turn in a different direction. A pivot if you will. A shift in mindset toward something. It can be an enlightening, or an epiphany.
If there is something weighing you down or burdening your peace, your mind, or your spirit, what “shift” can you make to positively impact the situation. Are you being true to who you are? Does a conversation need to be had? Do you need to change the focus of your attention? But always, always be true to who you are.
Take time for you. Put the phone down. Turn off the TV. Go for a walk. Get back in touch with nature. Get beyond yourself and the ties of everyday. Take that step back and just be. Be in the moment. Be in the quiet. The distractions of this nonstop world we live in will steal your time. Remember to Look Up!
“Life isn’t a matter of milestones but of moments.” —Rose Kennedy
Goals are great but what if we forget to enjoy the journey?
You reach the goal, then what? But if you truly enjoy the moments on your way to reach that goal, those precious moments are with you forever. The enjoyment is in the journey! The journey will be there no matter what! Enjoy it for everything you can! These are some of the moments that make up our lives. If you don’t truly enjoy this journey on the way to reach your goal, once you get to your destination your will feel empty shortly after the victory making it.
